Does anyone know why this event is disabled and when it will return? I need it for my map completion in AB.

Just a note to say that we’ve disabled one of the hero points in Auric Basin for a little while to allow the team to fix an exploit with—of all things—poisoned bacon.

The devs will get a fix in very soon and you’ll soon be able to acquire that hero point soon.

This hero point is supposed to be gated behind Adrenal Mushroom Mastery (a little box pops up talking about the mastery and what it does when you start it), but people are using mesmers and regen food to circumvent that.

My guess is they want to fix it so there’s no way to get the point without using Adrenal Mushrooms Mastery.

I’ve done it on 8 toons so far and it didn’t require any mesmer or food. Just had to wait 5s after eating it and then spam the 6 key and the heal got you through it with about 10 health left. I’m hoping they aren’t going to change it to make it harder after so many have already gotten it as it was. HoT zones definitely don’t need more difficulty added :/

No its not supposed to be gated behind anything and it isnt, its easily doable without food, regen or masterys, the reason it was disabled is because people were using it to level up by repeating it over and over again for the xp.

This. They likely want to limit this to only be doable once per character or once per day so people cannot use it for ‘free’ XP. People are using it as a repeatable, combat-and-resource-free XP source. Quite a large amount of XP too.

I was definitely one of the people using this xp trick, lol. I knew it would get nerfed eventually I had the whole thing down to a science and I was making about a million xp an hour. But, in my defense, the other events that I worked to do hint hint metas… always disconnected me, its not bad having a nice bug for a change. Sorry for those that need it. I’m sure the solution involves having XP nerfed or entirely removed for repeated users. Or at the least, made more difficult as sad before.

I did this on my Ranger with no food and no help. This was before I had any masteries either.

It was very close and it took a bunch of tries, but it’s possible.

I unable to take 100% map complete in Auric Basin. My account reached the maximum mastery point since two weeks ago. I don’t want any exp. I just wanted to make a legendary weapon but the HP has been temporarily disabled while i’m working on 98% Map complete. That is the last HP. This system is really bad.

Its not gated, I’ve done it without any buffs.

Looks at my 9 level 80s….. looks at the story line requirement to get map completion….. looks at my 9 level 80s….

Not a shining moment in good game design.
