I just realized and maybe I’m late to the party, but Trahearne, originally a necromancer was given that GS from the pale tree and gains a whole new awesome move set. Is HE the original GS necro? Has ANet knew the route they were going to take this whole time?

Caladbolg is a special weapon. Player Sylvari get to use it if they choose certain steps in their PS as well, regardless of that players’ profession, and with the same skill set.

So no, I don’t think Trehearne was intended to be a hint towards GS Necro or anything like that.

And that sword sucks too. Can get Treaherne without the sword back please!!!

The pvp community reminds me of what Obi-kittenenobi describes Mos Eisley as from star wars.

If the new Necromancer elite specialization gets an elite skill that summons six Flesh golems temporarily I’ll be fairly certain Trehearne is indeed a follower of the new path .
