Anyone who buys the expansion should get like a ticket to transfer to a different server. At least one of those tickets because I’m sure that i am not the only one who choose the wrong server. If that was a case, I would pre order the expansion right away.

Why? What does buying an expansion have to do with picking the wrong server (possibly years ago)? And if they do that, what about the people who don’t want to transfer? Can I use the gems for something else? Do I get gold instead? Do I get screwed over by essentially paying for something I don’t want or need?

If you don’t want to transfer for cash, use gold or delete your characters and then pick a new server for free.

I just don’t think transferring should be so expensive.

They sometimes make transfering cheaper or free to the lower tier servers. If you are willing to go to one of them, it’s not as expensive.

You can, of course, transfer at no RL cost by either deleting your characters or exchanging in-game Gold to Gems. Considering those options offered by ArenaNet, I’m not sure it’s ‘so expensive’.
