Is there an easy place to kill this thing? I just got stealth detection and tried couple locations but every time I find it, it just runs into a pack of mobs and I get swamped solo, and with every map I try it’s pretty much empty and dead so no assistance from anyone else.

Each map has a spawn point for its mushroom (several in DS). VB has the worst mobs in the area to deal with on top of attacking the mushroom. DS has the easiest, there being no mobs at all in most of the spawn points, the downside is you have to have just done the DS meta and get to the mushrooms during the frantic run around getting pods time.

Though by default if you’ve just done DS, there will be many people in the map, and generally someone will call out mushroom locations which are very near to wp’s.

VB spawn is north of the Treacherous Paths wp, in amongst the mordrem, and the mushroom runs all over so you will always have mobs joining the fun. AB spawn is at the base of the falls in the Bristleback ponds area south of Eastern wp. The bristlebacks will gatling gun the heck out of you as you chase the mushroom. TD might be fastest and easiest for you — it is in the grub pit just where you emerge from the wallows from Grand Central Teku Nuhoch Station. Depending on meta progress there may or may not be chak all over there.

Monitor Map when in those zones to see if anyone announces the mushroom, or go spot it yourself and give a Map shout out to ask for help. It only takes two or three other players to make it significantly easier to deal with the mushroom and surrounding mobs.

I will confess that as I am generally on a Reaper, the extra mobs are an annoyance but usually not a serious deterrent in my occasional mushroom hunts.

Thanks for the details. I did actually find a relatively easy place to go, after having the hassle of dealing with all the mordrem I did end up killing one solo in Treacherous Paths, being on a revenant doesn’t make things easier, they are strong but seems to lack too much aoe for dealing with large amounts of mobs, but I just about pulled it off. I also went to the one in Tangled Depths, near the stronghold. That one was easier with only a couple chak to deal with and got the daredevil mushroom as well as the herald mushrooms I was after luckily one after the other.

I am now 13/14 for the bo staff, I will end up looking for the one/s in Dragons Stand soon and take advantage while I farm for the final mastery I need for this staff. In all honesty I usually just leave the moment the Meta is done in that map. Cheers.

The TM in Auric Basin is pretty easy – a big open area to run about in. Also, after a successful Dragon Stand meta, the TM’s will be farmed by a decemt zerg, and thier are 3 in DS.

Whenever I am in VB, I do find a group and usually a tagged Mentor or Commander working on it. So, once I get the stealth mastery, I will know where to go. Usually best to go to the spawn points when a meta is going on, I think, since that’s when it’s the best chance for enough people to be there to kill time with the mushroom.

As the mushroom generally runs away from you, it is possible to make it run into a corner somewhere and then go full dps. You can also try to clear the area forst, before engaging. VB is likely the worst place for it, though, due to too high density of too annoying mobs, with a very fast respawn rates. For this one it’s better to get a few friends.
