So I recently purchased this in an effort to support ArenaNet in venturing forth into the hell hole that we have come to know as “Pre-Ordering”. Although I usually never pre-order things I saw potential in this so I got it. I’m satisified with what I received from the Ultimate Edition, but I wish they could add a way to recognize you for doing so.

I don’t want people to think I am an attention seeker. But it’s nice knowing people can see that you at least pitched in a great deal of money towards the effort.

All I want is a title, insignia, or anything, because if you take someone who has the deluxe vs someone who has the Ultimate, you can’t tell because the Ultimate is just deluxe with a certain percentage off of a gem purchase.

Anyways, Please ArenaNet make something that clearly tells the two apart! Thanks!

Really though it is just a percent off gems. I do not think a separate title needs to be added at all. No need to flaunt around saying you bought 50% off gems.

I’m sorry, but I think this is ridiculous. I respectfully disagree with you.

It’s not flaunting, although like you and I said, it’s just a percentage off, that’s still money that me, or someone in the future spent extra to go the extra mile. I realize you guys probably find it dumb, but, consider it like a founder’s title. Or a veteran’s title, this would merely pose as a “Ultimate” title. Or maybe add a hint of humor in it, such as “Deep Pockets” or “Supporter”. I’m not trying to demand something, I am just saying, it would be nice to have something to give it more pizazz.

I don’t see the point in a title or special item to display to show you paid more than other people did for pre-ordering. And, despite what you claim, it IS just a way to flaunt and seek attention for paying more than someone else. We already have a title for pre-ordering. Plus, we got all of the extra things for getting the Ultimate edition (or the Deluxe). I don’t think we need more.

I have spent close to $1500 on gems over the last 3 years, should I get a separate title than someone who bought the Ultimate edition (which I purchased as well)?

Even the most expensive version of HoT coss far less than some people have spent on the game. Why do you think you should be heralded above them?

So you are asking for something to stroke your ego and so you can say you have more money than other people? You payed 50% less on gems that’s the hook foe the “Ultimate” edition.

To be honest I’m disappointed in the preorder “bonus”, most games offer multiple items you can’t get any other way. A title is a little lack luster. I’m gonna hold off till the game launches. I was well peved when they ended up adding the armor boosters and bag for the same price I payed before launch. If it was an item I’d probably buy it now. But a title…… You can keep that.

Well my apologies if I offended any of you in the process of making this thread. My intention was not to bolster my ego, or have something that someone else doesn’t have. Just simply a faint request that I wanted to make. In no way shape or form do I believe that I should be praised for having such a title, or be seen as a god. All I wanted was a title to add on to the package that you receive. I’m not saying the gems weren’t worth purchasing the ultimate edition. I just felt that maybe if they added a title, it would make the Ultimate Edition a little more interesting. To all of those that have spent countless earnings on this game kudos to you, you should be known as someone who has put a considerable amount of money into the effort. No need for the severe hostility over such a low profile request.

Getting a title as recognition for spending more than other people on the expansion would be highly amusing to me because I bought the Ultimate Edition as a way of spending less on the game.

I was going to get the Deluxe Edition, until I realised that since I buy gems periodically anyway buying the Ultimate Edition is like buying 4,000 gems in one go and then getting the Deluxe for £37.50 instead of £60.

Not that I don’t want to support the game, but the way I see it it’s Anet’s responsibility to set prices that ensure they’re fairly compensated for their work and my right as a consumer to pick the one that’s best for me.
