In GW1 you were asked for all serials attached to your account. It might be the same here.
I was only 5 years old when gw1 came out but thanks for sharing, didnt know that.
Wondering if they created a page addressing concerns we have about the expansion. They spent a lot of time producing the content yet spend little time on pricing and responding to important concerns we have.

Good question. Probably if you make a new account with the purchase and give it a new display name, email and log in, that will have its own serial code. If you attach the expansion to a old account then it won’t.
It should be easy enough to find out. After purchase you’ll get a confirmation email and if it has a serial number it will be sent to you then.
ANet may give it to you.

In the register page it displays we have the core game and show HoT as an upgrade, so yeah, it is attached to your current ID (and it won’t change). The question regarding the serial is unknown to me, but I would guess our accounts are validated by any of the serials we have, eg. when submitting a ticket, either of the serials (core or HoT xpac) would be valid for your account.
