Bottom line, Maguma is a pain in the kitten to navigate and it gets old real fast. Half the time dont know how to get from A to B even if B is 100 feet away. Half the way points are contested continuously which only makes matters worst.

There is a reason no other game abuses verticality, when Burning legion came out, you could fly but it was all open spaces here, you cant fly and everything is a kitten maze.

So the verticality of the maps was fun for you at first and now it’s not fun anymore?

Or was it never fun to begin with?

If it’s the latter then the new maps never “lost their appeal” to you.
They were never appealing to you in the first place.

It’s not that bad. Just like vanilla, learn the map, and it relieve some of your frustration. The key is understanding what HPs and POIs are in the canopy and not in the jungle.

You dont need to learn the maps either in wow or here on the old maps to go from A to B, you just start walking.

1) This isn’t WoW
2) Everyone had to learn new maps, not all of them are as simple as your confirmation bias leads you to believe.

What’s the point of a map you can just walk through without even thinking? So you can press “r” and afk while exploring?

Lately I feel most people want all maps to be just a white plain without any obstacles, filled with static mobs that doesn’t aggro and die with just 1 hit.

I thank the mystical forces this game doesn’t have “wow style” maps. Why would I want huge, empty, pointless and boring maps?

I like the vertically of the maps and I never get tired of it. I rather have you suffer than me being bored. I hope ANet ignore this thread.

I agree with op don’t like the vertical maps. Go back to the style of maps in core gw2( not the city maps and no drytop either). I am not talking about difficulty of mobs or monsters. I just don’t want these vertical maps.

It is certainly changing. I think evolving isn’t the right word for it. That seems to suggest improvement.

Loses.

I quite like it. Even if Anet made gliding and mushrooms server-side, which completely screws over Oceanic players…
