I may be alone in being vocal, but I know I am not alone in what I did. I bought my pre-order proudly, quickly, immediately, and got the $99 version.
I am so excited for the expansion, as is almost all of my guild. I know how hard you have worked on this, and it looks like a blast! Thank you for creating even more to do in this amazing world you have created for me to play in daily. I have had HOURS and HOURS of entertainment, and I am freaking excited for even more time doing more stuff.
I am SO ECSTATIC for guild halls! I know I am coming off fan girlish on you, but I want you to know that out of all these angry people, there are at least a few of us that are very happy.

As soon as he announced the preorder was up I purchased the Ultimate version. So did two of my friends/guildies. About an hour later another guildie purchased the Ultimate edition as well. I am really happy with my investment in the base game and I still find enjoyable things to do. I play with my friends every day, after all this time, and I’ve played since beta weekends even then.
I was lucky enough to get one of the beta portals from Silverwastes and I had an absolute blast playing through the test content. I am aware that it was only a percentage of the content, but what I found there had me excited enough to feel that the $100 price tag (with extra goodies that other people might not care about, but I DO care about – I LOVE minis) was totally worth it.
Now that the blogs have gone up with more information about Guild Halls I couldn’t be more excited. I have a relatively small guild, and the way that things are explained seems like it is going to make things SO much easier for my small guild – Less than 20 people. The change with guild currency and the way unlocks work thrill me. I hope my expectations won’t be dashed, but it sounds promising so far! I am really looking forward to it, too, and I can’t wait to rush my way through the content with my guildmates
Bump, great game. Not giving purchasing the expansion a second thought. I have a couple of 80s but I don’t like all the classes enough to have to worry about deleting one for revenant. Even so, I can buy my character slot for gold instead of money.
Idk what people are crying about. If you even bother to play any of the weekly tournaments, you can easily accumulate gems. Even fron logging in daily you can get tons of laurels to convert to gold. And gold can be converted to gems.

Thats what everyone is saying, that the Dlc is tied to the “free” core game, thats why they can not just drop the core game or let us give the core game to someone else.

There are a few with valid concerns, ie: the people that purchased the game in the past month. Sure I did. Just like I preordered the second Lord of the Rings movie on DvD before I saw it. I know its’ Lord of the Rings. I know the director. I wanted the set.
I don’t need a release date, because I’m not impatient. I’ll play it when it’s here. I know the features I’ve seen will give me entertainment. If I get 50 hours at of the expansion and I’m sure I will get at least that much, that means I’m paying 1 buck an hour for entertainment. That is logic.

I’m quite annoyed that these $50 threads overshadowed the current spot light of this week: Guild Hall.
The annoyance could have not only been stopped, it could have been prevented over 24 hours ago. This is a direct result of a community outcry and having it completely ignored.
This should have been an exciting moment in GW2 history, its going to be memorable, but for all the wrong reasons because of the lack of communication.
