Vinetooth Prime
It spawns in the Vinetooth Den point of interest (northeastern corner of the map) at the end of the Ruins of Eastwatch event. This occurs usually very early on in the cycle of the map where all the pylons need to be activated by an exalted.
I too am going for the Glint’s Bastion skin and have tried several times to kill the Legendary Vinetooth Prime, but no luck so far. It requires quite a number of people to do.
Is there a time limit? Too bad the Bastion looks like crinkled paper.
Crystal Desert
8 minute time limit on it
I have tried getting people to come and do it. But when we do get enough people, there are too many idiots laying dead and scaling the boss, as well as people being too brain dead to do CC and break his bar. It is honestly frustrating as I do not understand how people managed to get this far with only hitting #1 on their keyboard.
Tried to do this, quite frankly I think he is overtuned. Managed to get 20 people together, and still couldn’t break his CC bar.
I organized a group (about 35-40 in the end) and we killed him with 1min left. His timer is 10min. Try mistward blindfold..you see what overtuned truly means
Playing Smite since mid s2, f broken gw2.
He seems tuned for a massive group, with a lot of CC to break his bar.
I have never asked for AN to nerf anything but this boss I believe warrants it. It is very difficult to find a group to do it with so many preoccupied with Tarir or map populations plummeting as soon as the meta is over.
Nope- it doesn’t need nerfing.
The boss is designed to be scaling as required.
The best way to encourage a map to do this:
Get into a AB 30 mins before Octo meta- do the meta then lead a full T4 pylon event.
Start the clear at South, north and west- taxi more in (ignore any map closing stuff)- if any pylon group finishes they can start east.
Then slowly as numbers come in they can start east get them to yell when easy 2/3 pylons done – everyone in the map ports to east WP to kill the vintootb.
Any good commanders worth their salt will encourage people to stop everything and do VT when it is up. I’ve seen a few commanders that insist doing NSW before VT – and force everyone to miss out. This is a bad strategy.
NSW pylons will still be there – but VT is once / meta cycle on a strict timer
I’ve killed VT many times and led AB maps to kill it – getting T4 pylons and then a HP farm after all pylons. There is usually 30 mins left for exploration if everyone works together after getting t4 pylons in AB.
The key is to ensure you have a few people taxiing in others.
Once that is up – it’s a case of lead and eventually people will follow.
The hardest bit recently has been encouraging people to keep taxi individuals into a map.
Those that do keep the taxis up (best done in pairs- so the lfg doesn’t bug) are awesome.
Also helps to announce you will lead a T4 pylon after the Octo meta – helps encourage a few more to stay.
I did this legend with a small group of maybe 10 random people at most. It is definitely possible with few people if they use cc at the right time. There was a few min on timer left as well.

I killed it around 3-4 times, some with small groups, some with huge zergs. IMO this thing is one of those where its actually easier with a smaller group (10-15) who knows what they’re doing instead of a big zerg that spam 1.
It seems his breakbar scales aggressively along with his HP according to the number of people. In smaller group you might only need 4-5 well timed hard cc to break him, which is doable if the small group brings enough CC.
