Im thinking that the weapon the warrior elite spec could get is offhand pistol. I mostly say this because anet had said that trahearne using a greatsword was a bit of foreshadowing for the necro elite spec and when Rytlock was a warrior he used to use an offhand pistol. Might be a long shot but thoughts?

Warriors already have just about every non-magical weapon in the game already. So it’s basically either pistol or torch.

I agree it will be probably pistol, I honestly hope for daggers though.

Offhand dagger with poison and bleeds?? or offhand pistol with poison and daze/stun?
or torch with burning, smoke field and burning AOE?..

They could surprise us, and have us go Dual shields, or barehanded.

i mean what classes atm can use sword pistol combo, just mesmer and theif, and neither of them have a stab like that.

What about Short Bow? I would like to see another ranged weapon. We only have two. Or main hand Pistol, but i much more prefer SB. I just can’t imagine a warrior with pistols …

I think mainhand pistol. They seem to be pulling elite specialization weapons out of NPC weapon sets occasionally (we’ve already seen necromancers with great swords, after all), and here we have an obvious warrior (with Vigil heavy armor) with a Pistol Mainhand/Shield Offhand in Warmaster Gritblade.

Honestly, I was kind of hoping for torch (a torch that actually did cool things, specifically), but I think Pistol is going to be what we get.

Three ? I can’t even think of one. Unless you’re referring to mesmer and ele for getting off hands.

If you are then I really feel like you didn’t read up on anything that came out of there information reveals. I can’t think of a single person who thought shield was bad after they released the information, unless it was about just the look/appeal of carrying around a shield.

The same complaint was made for ele warhorn. “If I can’t use bolt on my ele then tempest sucks!” Is about the majority of complaints I see. On top of the legitimate complaint that ele really could use another good main Hand.

I don’t see anything wrong with shield or warhorn. People just complain because there roles / playstyle over existing professions isn’t to appealing, or viable throughout most of the game. (Even with that there’s Still exceptions) but none of us know exactly what’s coming with these elite specs until we get that information from a net them selves.

I know the skills functionalitys and damage/cleanse numbers are great. I just hate my wizard esteriotype blowing a horn around (Also, I’ve been searching for a good loking warhorn to maaaybe makes me a little less sad, but there are not a single good looking one :\ ).

I actually like the Inquest Warhorn (which i use on my Warrior) and the Ceremonial Warhorn (which I use on my Necro).

Not really. Throughout the current game there are npcs wielding weapons that a player can’t wield (such as sword mainhand with pistol offhand) or using a mix of armor and weapons that a player can’t use (such as using a mainhand pistol while wearing light armor). Npcs have never been bound to player restrictions. The case of Marjory is different because she is a major npc in the living story (i.e. her wielding a greatsword came after the idea of elite specializations came about and the living story is a means of foreshadowing).

I like the speculation that the utilities may be kits to compensate for weapons not in the game. Berserker greataxe, land spear, etc.

With all of the weapons Warrior has access to, they certainly don’t need kits. As for what skills they’ll get, my bet is either on Traps or Survival.

I wouldn’t be a fan of that. Mainly because I want those weapons to be added as actual weapons. For example, I want both warriors and guardians to be able to wield land spears. Likewise, greataxe doesn’t just fit warriors but it might also fit revenants, rangers and/or necromancers.
