I have seen this happen only twice over the last week, and someone else in my guild has had this happen, where at the end of the event we received two different things of silky sand, He had the same thought that our portal was probably supposed to be there and was replaced by the single piece of silky sand.

That does seem rather . . . odd.

Might be worth posting in the bug forum.

Anet’s beta give-a-way for their beta is still in beta.

That’s a beta pile of silky sand.

No one pile of sand is just rubbish the other holds a bandit key or zephyrite lockpick -.-

Don’t think so. I think the max “stack” of dust you can get is 50. It went over that number as a bonus and gave u +X amount.

That “50” number you got is too much of a round number to be coincidence imo. It seems like a limit.

And even if you are right…1 dust doesn’t only mean u got bugged out of a beta item. It might also mean you bugged out of a bandit key for example.

I had this happene too! I didn’t take a screenshot,I might sumbit a ticket!

I just sent them a ticket about this,because when it happened to me I got the same loot and even my guildies thought it seemed odd or bugged,I gave them the time frame and everything for myself but also sent them a link to this forum post,now I am upset because I worked hard and this possibly could have been the portal. Not to mention I am recovering from surgery and can only stay awake for a little while at a time.

The max set stack for rewards can be different…either globally for the whole reward or each reward having a different max stack. 250 is not a rule.

I think what he is talking about is the number of dropped one.

I for one have never seen more than 50 drop in stack.

It should be best send a support ticket to Anet hopefully they can give you the answer you need dude.

You always get 50 silky sand from the vinewrath. One silky sand is also an item you can get from any bonus chest in the silverwastes. There is no mystery, here.

Wait… if this was supposed to be a portal, then im unlucky aswell. From another event I had once about 13 + 1 silky sand in Dry Top Ah well I don’t really care if im in Beta or not. It’s temporarily content anyways.

They responded. Basically they said it does sound fishy and they only skimmed through the ticket and said that you should report it in-game via the buf report. Which I can’t do anyway because I’m unable to physically play right now. So although the GM said it sounded buggy they can’t/won’t help as it isn’t their area. -slow clap-
