I will like to here peoples thoughts on this idea.

I"m not an elite but like to challenge myself by trying to do the impossible possible, like soloing a dungeon, people setting themselves challenges like this got me thinking.

Those that did the queen’s gauntlet and the level of challenges will understand where i’m coming from at the end of this post.

I play both gw2 and sto and one thing I like sto over gw2 is the challenge I get from it. What I mean by challenge is this.

For each mission, there are levels of difficulties. From easy to normal to hard to elite and now super elite missions. Each with there own gear table. You choose the level of difficulty so it’s not like you are forced to play a harder level mission and then pay the price for not completing it.

For each harder missions, there are set of challenges one has to complete as well as meeting harder and tougher NPC. It is so rewarding when you complete them.

I guess you could say this is like gw2 LS achievement but I feel gw2 is lackluster. The NPC are the same, the rewards lackluster. Yes some challenges are good but most feel almost void and leave me wanting more.

And example of challenges they can add are:

With all the different gear type, builds and stats we have in gw2, why don’t they make it so that for a challenge only specific gear type can be used.

Give us 1, 2 3 4 and 5 man challenge for the same mission. If you can complete a 2 3 4 5 solo you are trully rewarded with stuff.

The rewards are not gear upgrades but more gear cosmetics. Example of this, using a pistol, and also not to chastise those that cannot do the super hard missions, pistol skin can be the same but the skin colour or and the bullet coming out will differ in colour, referencing colour of gear level in the game, while, blue, green, yellow, Orange, purple to show the level of difficulty achieved.

The combination of challenges is endless and with this, you cater for both casual, non casual and elite players, everybody wins.

What do you all think of this?
