[Sorry had to cut down title, too long: GoT = Glory of Tyria]

I’m surprised I haven’t seen this thought anywhere yet – But I believe that Zojja, Logan and Eir will be alright miraculously. But I think Trahearne (being a sylvari) will have gotten corrupted by Mordre and may ironically become the anti-hero in the expansion (he did dissapear in the cut scenes shortly after the sylvari started turning), dramatically leading a corrupted sylvari army against us (for added effect let’s say he will amass an army from Malyck's tree!).

Although I would love to fight Trahearn, I doubt it. He will be one of the Sylvari who can resist the corruption and will likely have to go in hiding at first to avoid being persecuted by others who think he is corrupted. His part in the plot will likely be in helping to protect his fellow Sylvari race.

The Sylvari we know that will likely lead that army (and you may be right from where) is Faolain. She will keep her personality and intelligence, but gain more power and become a champion of Mordromoth’s sylvari army.

It’s better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a plot point about one of them being dead when we get there, but we’re certainly going to meet up with them again. You don’t kill off major characters essentially off screen between a patch and an expansion coming down the line. It’s just such a waste. The destruction of the Pact fleet is enough for the plot to tell you how serious this threat is.

Trahearne doesn’t seem to be corrupted yet, and I assume he’ll resist it initially, but it might happen for a time (Mordremoth trying to find a way to corrupt him would be an obvious plot). I just hope we don’t get a Snake Man-at-Arms situation where we’re just forced to kill a corrupted Trahearne without even considering potentially endless numbers of cures. If Trahearne dies, I want it to be appropriate to the character, not some spiteful deus ex machina.

I’m not so sure of this. Yes, Mordromoth might have an easier time corrupting her, but I can see her wanting to fight it. Like Scarlet, she doesn’t seem to want to take orders from anybody. In fact, I’d rank her as one of the few Nightmare Court Sylvari that might resist the corruption and fight at our side. Mind you, that doesn’t make her an actual ally…

Well, there’s two different images of the Glory of Tyria, the stylized one with the ship being torn apart and DE falling from the sky, that’s just imagery and not actual events. I expect to find them battered and bloody somewhere in the tree tops in the wreckage of the GoT. Along with Trahearne and Canach, neither of which are corruptible because of their strong belief in and connection to the Pale Tree, just like Caithe…only those weak of mind and not firmly entrenched in the Dream are corruptible, which apparently is the majority of the Pact Sylvari members, who might pottentially be mostly Soundless/less committed Sylvari.

As for Faolain, it’s clearly shown in the trailer that she’s under the influence of Mordremoth as it’s her that kills the last Pact soldier using her staff as a pike(she stabs him through and lifts him in the air and then it fades into another scene).

faolain might be too headstrong, if she decides she wants to be in charge (assuming she lives) she wont bow to mordremoth – or will pretend to be, then backstab him and find a way to either bind herself or take his power, making the boss fight go against her instead of moredremoth

I’m still hoping for someone to save us from Destiny’s Edge 2.0. The fewer dealings we have with them the better, in my opinion.

It’d be horrible if something were to happen to Zojja also. If her famous voice actor were to quit or no longer voice the character for whatever reason, I could see them opting to kill her off over finding a closely sounding replacement. That would make some pretty big news and waves in the community if it were to come out that Felicia Day refused or was no longer able to continue her voicing of Zojja.

I’m not saying that this did or will happen, just that it’d be a really interesting situation if it came about. I wonder how Anet would handle the character after that. If it were to happen, now would be the best time to show Zojja the exit…even if it is a quick and cheap way to do it.

calling it now. Trahearne will survive and the ending of HoT will go as follows.

<Player>: “Mordremoth is breaking up!”
Trahearne: “Incredible! All that magic!”
<Player>: “It’s running wild! It will destroy everything!”
Trahearne: “I’m going into it!”
<Player>: “You can’t do that!”
Trahearne: “Yes I can! I can contain the power. This is the gift Glint’s child gave me!”
<Player>: “Trahearne! No!”
Trahearne: “You said it yourself – it’s about a choice! A choice that only a sylvari can make!”
<Player>: “Trahearne?”
Trahearne: “No. Yes. Trahearne. And much more.”
<Player>: “Mordremoth?”
Trahearne: “No. His power. His magic. But not him. His will is broken. There is a new jungle dragon. There is a new day.”
Trahearne: “The nightmare has come and gone. I have much to do…Much must be repaired.”
Trahearne: “This will take you home, or to wherever you desire.”
<Player>: “Trahearne, if you need help…”
Trahearne: “Yes. Yes, I will, but for the moment, you have your world back. The Glint’s child spoke the truth. It is your world. Use it wisely.”
<Player>: “Of course.”
Trahearne: “And remember my friend – you never fight alone.”
