What Masteries are needed to finish the HoT story? I will eventually finish them completely but I am tired of training up the wrong one to advance and being forced to grind all the xp out after each part.

IIRC you need Gliding 1, Exalted 1 and Nuhoch 1 to get through the HoT story. You can also check your mastery list to see if there’s a “story star” marker on the specific mastery to see if it’s required and which chapter requires it.

EDIT: For the last chapter it’s good to have Gliding 2 too if it’s not required in any other story step.

It’s hard to get the reference once you’ve achieved the mastery, because it’s only on unachieved masteries that you get any indication that it’s required for an unlock.

In order to progress through, you will need Tier 1 in everything, Gliding, Itzel, Exalted and Nuhoch, and will also need Tier 2 with Gliding.

Getting Tier 2 in Nuhoch is also very useful, although not actually “required”.
