HI I just bought HoT via amazon. I entered the code on the gw2 website. That looks fine. I received a in game email thanking me for my purchase.

My questions are:

Once your account is upgraded, you should see your title immediately in the Achievements section of the Hero Panel (default hotkey “H”).

I don’t see a new title listed…..

Also:
SInce i never played the beta’s — on 10/23 will new areas of the map be opened to me?

Did you buy a pre-order or a pre-purchase? Only the pre-purchase gives the title.

And yes, as soon as the expansion is released people that have bought the expansion will be able to explore the new maps (although if going by the beta there might be a small instance in the Silverwastes to do in order to get access).

Thanks for the answer — I just bought it today so I understand the lack of the title.

Just wanted to make sure i was good to go on release day…… Other than the email — nothing changed — no new logo’s ,, nothing on any game tab showing i bought the new release -- that just seemed weird to me.

Click on the “MY ACCOUNT” a little further up on this forum (Next to logout). Check if it says that GW2:HoT is Active. You should be fine If it shows that.

Remember, you have to log out completely and log back in after apply the Serial Key for the upgrade to take effect.
