I recently filled out all my elite specs on all nine of my characters (one of each). Other than finishing the story at least once, what should I tackle next? I’m not sure if I’m lost, or just burnt out. Feels like some of my enthusiasm evaporated.

I never understood questions such as this one. Nobody but you knows what you find fun and what – not, nobody but you can know if you are burnt out or not. Considering you have 9 alts I reckon you are fully aware of all your options (sPVP, running metas, fractals, raids etc) and only you can find out which you find fun, so what is your question again?

Just try things out, mate Or better yet, take a break and return when Anet released more content. If any game promotes such a playstyle, it’s GW2.

Like Andulias said, pick up what you like do to. Set your goals and work towards them.
Fractal (new) backpack? Complete the raid? One of the new legendaries? Map/mastery completion? PvP? WvW?
Try something, look into it the set, ready,go!

Or stop altogether? If you are even having questions as to what to do, then get in the lifeboat and row to a new game.

I’ll be right behind you!

Take a break and move onto something else. I had this feeling after I completed or did all the things I wanted. Grass is always greener on the other side. Might be good for you, anyways. At least after a break, you can come back to the game later down the road refreshed, among other things.

I have always been driven by the bling and there are lots of new collections to work on which will take you all over the game. I am at 162 of 163 mastery points so that journey is almost complete for me but I am working on two Precursors with lots more to do there and a I have my eye on a third to start pretty soon.

Collections are part of the new end game. Pick something you like and go for it. Some of the elite specialization weapons are pretty cool.

I really like gw2, but also i consider it a “filler” game.

A filler game it’s a good thing, cause it allows me to play other games instead, and still i am allowed to relog when i want and have to play for fun, not for farm or lvling characters ( i just login for daily login if i quit, but is ok for both me and ANET, cause client is always up to date, and a small reward for login ).

If you feel at the moment there’s nothing to do for you, just play something else instead.

Also, as a suggestion, don’t rush everything.
Try play it time by time and not for a “reward”, but for fun instead.

Thanks for the reply – I suppose it’s just a difference of opinion, personality, or whatever. I sort of see the question like a bunch of us frequent the same restaurant, and I casually ask, what’s new, what tastes good, etc?

It’s not really meant to be a consequential or existential question. Of course I know I’m a little burnt out, and of course I know that I am the creator of my own happiness. I’m just asking anyone if they’ve found any part of the game especially fun i.e. the new WvW map, chasing after all the masteries, doing the story, etc.

Again, the point of the question is I’m asking you what you find interesting. Why are people talking to me like I signed up for counseling?

Probably because your initial post had no indication of asking what others find interesting.

I recently filled out all my elite specs on all nine of my characters (one of each). Other than finishing the story at least once, what should I tackle next? I’m not sure if I’m lost, or just burnt out. Feels like some of my enthusiasm evaporated.

If your point was to ask what others find interesting, then your title and main post needs rewording.

Try the Raid, I would recommend it – try to get into a Raiding Guild or setup your own with friends.

Some of the higher level Fractals now they go to 100 are pretty good fun actually, the longer fights really can challenge you with the mechanics (although some are just AWFUL – highest level Dredge Fractal final boss is just horrendously boring).

Perhaps a new Legendary (if you don’t like any of the current stuff take a look at what they require and infer what a weapon you’d maybe like to craft would require or just get the stuff required for all of them ready).

Maybe you’d like to go for some achievements or skins from the new maps.

PvP is always there if you want to get a few rounds in before the League closes on the 26th.

Just some suggestions and things I’ve been doing since completing Story, Elite Spec and Masteries.

I really like the collections and achievements in HOT.
After completing the story and several successful metas on each map, I decided to start doing those.

I also still have not done the new WvW and pvp stronghold maps.

If you are no longer enjoying the content, then like others said, take a break from the game. Come back with fresh perspective and you may want to try some new things.

Can you feel it? HOT HOT HOT

I did several things since release not counting maxing masteries.

Maguuma Map completion on every character.
HoT story completion on every character.
Completed all specialization weapon collections.
Completed machine weapon collection.
Completed Chak weapon collection.
Completed Auric weapon collection.
Completed Auric backpack collection.
Currently working on first set of the pact backpack collections.

There’s plenty to do spending on what interests you.
