Guild Wars 2

The traitline updates are coming for everyone, regardless if you have HoT or not. What about the specializations? Are those also coming for everyone, HoT or no?

What about guild halls? If I am a part of a guild that has a guild hall and I don’t have HoT, am I still able to enter their guild hall?

What about the new WvW zone? Is that for everyone or just people with HoT?

Considering we aren’t entirely sure what we are suppose to be getting if we do buy it, I don’t think anyone can say what we aren’t getting if we don’t.

With recent events maybe they will just take our money and send us screen shots of everything they had "planned " on putting into an xpac.

New WvW map and stronghold mode is for everyone.
Elite specializations are restricted to HoT players.
Regarding guild halls I don’t think they have said anything about that yet.

I would say to check the FAQs, but they might change it in a couple of days if not weeks lol.

Since to get to the guild Halls you have to get to the new maps 1st,
then GHs are most certainly HoT only.

New game content has not, and does not have to limit access to new areas, but this might be an exception, the way they are handling this one.

Can’t say that, since everyone in the guild will get the Guild Travel button when they press the G key. That’s the most information we know so far.

Basicly the game will play as now with the some of the current content changed (like the WvW map).

The only thing that is a “danger” is how strong the specializations and new weapons actually is. For PvE it wont matter, but for PvP and WvW… oh boy. We all know how strong of a force the meta is. If the meta change to something that is HoT exclusive – which I have no doubt that Anet want and quite possible abuse by making certain changes to traits, even if they are never going to admit it – then rest assured, HoT will be bloody required.

I am seriously hoping that Anet will change the HoT packages. These toxic discussions about price… We didnt need it. We didnt want it. It would have been better for the community if everyone bought HoT. It would have been better for Anet. But they went and kittened it up. kittened it up royally. They tore apart the community and guilds, literally in a couple of hours (I’m not going to lie, everyone I know are angry about it).

Its just sad.
