It is just limited in it`s usuability, thanks to it`s fixed stats.

Legendary equipment gives you the luxury of changing them whenever you want.
However, that is the only difference (and maybe the skin then)

I still have legendary equipment on my radar. It’s just that they are so expensive, I decided to make ascended gear first and in a year or two I will be able to afford legendary pieces.
My main reason is “Hey, I want those footprints!”.

Second best position?
There is nothing that’s better than ascended so I’m not sure what you’re talking about.

Ascended will remain BiS after HoT and for the foreseeable future.

they never said legendary armor will have footprints and with most weapons having em i would guess they add something else to armor to not screw up the weapon effects.
Just look at what happen to howler when they removed aura bug

Technically legendary will be BiS, the stats will be the same as ascended however, if it works like weapons you will be able to change those stats on the fly without using the mystic toilet.

The ability to swap stats on the fly is what makes Legendary better than ascended.
