What is going on with spell effects????
Not sure if anet realizes it, but allot (most) of us play the classes we find cool looking and aesthetically pleasing. Be honest, you start playing a video game by choosing what LOOKS amazing to you… Not by saying "hmm what class will pump out the least amount of cool looking attacks so I can look weak and terrible in order to see my enemy 2% better.

They went about toning spell effects down the wrong way, they needed to tone down the on hit explosion effects, not necessarily the projectiles themselves. They did this because in group scenarios its almost impossible to see the animations of bosses.
Really what they should have done is add a check box for the culling of effects so you can still enjoy your throw up of particle effects and I can see raid boss animations.
But they didn’t do either of those things :’(

I agree a toggled check box would have been nice instead of screwing over all of us who paid because we liked the effects in the game.. This is garbage..
