What is your new daily routine?
I do the ascended crafting for an easy 7G per account. I then complete all of the fractal dailies. I finish off by doing the T7 conversions (e.g. bloodstone). I’m taking a slight break since I finally got the Ex Machina title and Gerent mini so that’s pretty much all I’m doing lately.
Currently I’m crafting ascended weapons for every power spec on every toon. I’m nearly half way there, actually. So, my daily grind is:
#1: I turn on a TV or second monitor and watch something. Currently I’m watching a subbed anime. It’s pretty terrible and simplistic, so I don’t have trouble keeping up.
#2: Log in with every character and go to the two flax fields in VB and TD, opening the chests in TD to get crystals.
#3: Gather Elder Wood from Malchiors leap, via that tight cluster of trees west of the entrance. If there’s more clusters, please let me know, as they are sweet bank. I do this on a regular basis.
#4: Do daily crafting of ascended materials. I usually hoard them, as buying ascended stuff gets expensive fast.
#5: I do the fractal dailies. So far I’ve only obtained ascended rings and armor, but its good money and I nearly have a second fractal toon.
#6: Depending on what I’m in the mood for after that, I hop on to one of my toons and either do regular gathering rounds with a watchwork pick, or I do events in AB to get Auric Dust. Or if I am feeling up to it, I do the personal story of the two toons I haven’t finished it on yet.
#7: If my guild is doing Triple Trouble, I may join them on occasion. Though to be honest I find myself rarely doing it lately.
The auric dust is a big thing. I find myself doing TD and VB a lot more than AB, even though AB is arguably the simplest. That fulgurite can make some sweet bank at times. Either way, once I have my next toon kitted out with ascended weapons (its a thief, and I still have to make x1 pistol, x2 dagger, x1 shortbow, x1 sword, total cost about 750 gold), I’ll finally do HoT story and complete my specialization collections.
wake up
do stuff
go to sleep
I log in, get my log in daily chest, if its laurels I buy t6 mats with them and then I do the quickest pve daily I can and then get the other 2 by playing maybe 5-15 games of pvp every day now that leagues have started. After this I usually do one tarir event and one tangled depths event. If there’s still time left after I go and do a bit more pvp (I have lost interest in pve content for now because I have done it all now) and then log off. Much better than the log in→ do dailies→ farm gold for a while→ log off than I had before HoT!
PvE- Grolex (Warrior)
PvP rank: 20 Rating: 1864 (season 7)
Mine → Sell it → Buy Ascended Mats → Fractals → Back to start
This is my typical weekday.
Weekend is more flexible and has more guild raiding than mining.
Gotta keep working toward that new shiny and i needs me money for that.

There is a small group of 3 or 4 trees by the Melandru statute west of the Waywarde Way waypoint in the Straits of Devastation. That’s the only other one I know of.
ANet may give it to you.
what are these ascended crafting you guys are talking about?
what are these ascended crafting you guys are talking about?
It’s farming for materials so that you can craft 450 to 500 level items, such as:
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Spiritwood_Plank
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Deldrimor_Steel_Ingot
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Elonian_Leather_Square
which are used to craft Ascended Armor and Weapons. They can also be sold on the Trading Post for much moola.
I log on, collect my daily log in chest, craft a meaty plant food, throw that up on the TP then I log out.
On the weekend I shake things up a bit by doing guild missions before I log out.
log in
do 3 easiest dailies, while chatting with a few friends that still play
gather home nodes
log out
Play Fallout 4.
Replaying Fallout New Vegas with TTW, since Fallout 4 was a disappointment and needs heavy modding via the G.E.C.K (released in January). Or cuting elder wood logs until my eyes bleed out.
Chop wood. PvP. Cry about PvP meta. Chop wood. Chop more wood. Chop more wood. Alt F4.
It’s pretty much been:
- Do PvP dailies in a daily room with my two accounts
- Main account farms flax, alt account opens Sharkmaw chests
- Do the Wintersday JP 30 times (takes about an hour)
- See if there’s anything else I can donate to guild hall, chat a little in guild chat
- Close client, do something fun, poke through the GW2 forum a bit
Sometimes I break the routine by going afk for a couple hours before remembering to close the client.
Get daily chest.
Think, what shall I do, think about “Adventures”.
Log out.
Play Fallout 4.
i dont play

Meh- it’s been Harvest Wars 2 for me since the xpac came out and they made ascended mats more in demand.
log in- Do Fracs dailys.
Then i harvest using all my 80’s- i have 7- Flax-Iron-Plat- chopping down trees on my way around.
Do all the pvp dailys
Log back into my main- Do the gathering daily. Harvest quartz crystal in Drytop. Use the daily merchant in my GH, and my personal merchant. hit up the supply network agents for the Pact Scout’s Mapping Materials.
At this point i pretty much hate myself, and the game. If i have time- ill do one of the metas at one of the new maps.
So yea- pretty much it
Check Guild Wars 2 for new content.
Get disappointed.
Go decorate my Fallout 4 settlement.
Forget about Guild Wars 2 till tomorrow.
I have no daily routine. I log in, look what’s up in the guild, do some fun stuff with or without them, then do some other fun stuff with or without them, then log out if it’s got late.
I ignore all daily achievements, home instance, time gated crafting, etc, since it’s a huge time sink for no fun at all. It’s all designed to rob an hour from my precious play time every day.
At some point in the past I realized how much more time I have as soon as I stop doing daily routine stuff. I have about 2-3 hours of play time per session. It’s a magic time machine: just stop doing routine stuff and suddenly you have 1 hour of more play time per session to do fun things instead of assembly line work.

Busy day: log on, get login rewards, mine the rich plat node in the cave in Timberline, maybe the other nodes in the mini-map, log off.
Less busy day: above plus select the two least boring (i.e., done with the least amount of engagement with silly content models — if I can I’ll avoid the daily events in a select zone like the plague it is) daily chores, farm the presents to open for the 3rd daily, log-off.
Even less busy: the above two plus go to Magus Falls and run around trying to find and complete a Hero Challenge or 3 towards unlocking an elite spec. Maybe if I get lucky I’ll do some events. So far I’ve managed to kill the two Wyvern patriarchs and open Tarir. Log off when tired.
During the second and third, collect from nodes.
1.) log in to my multiple accounts(because i truly adored this game at one point)
2.) get log in rewards everyday so i can keep stacking those laurels
3.) hope and pray the game goes back to its long-term, high replayability of yesteryear so i can return with lots of laurels!
Every day I lead HoT maps for people and by the end of the day realise yet again I have missed all my money making opportunities via daily crafting and missed my daily AP. Thanks anet for shafting me by staying in expansion ! It’s not that bad but there are days it feels that way.
Mine goes like this:
day 1: WvW raid
day 2: WvW raid
day 3: login-in log-out
day 4: WvW raid or GvG in Arena
day 5: login-in, maybe do a bit of pvp, log-out
day 6: login-in log-out
day 7: login-in log-out
I’ve given up on doing dailies since it would just take forever not doing PvE to get the Armor pieces anyway.
Log in around reset for daily chest if i feel like it and maybe Teq if i feel like staying in gw2 kitten 15min or so.. Less and less now a days

Are the waypoints close to the elder wood tree farms in Orr.
I log in, play a few games until I get bored of bunker wars, then move onto a different PvP game that’s balanced.
….. And Elementalist.
