So the new patch notes came out, and they said they’d be removing skill points and exchanging them to hero points.
But what happens to the items that we use to craft legendary that require skill points, like Bloodstone Shards, or Eldrtich scrolls?
If they aren’t going to be used anymore period, will we get anything special for having these items?

Most likely they will just use ‘X’ number of the material that arenanet is talking about skill points becoming. It makes the most sense.

Maybe they will become “crafting scrolls” and will be used like the old skill point scrolls in the mystic forge. They will no longer give skill points upon click. They may not even be clickable, just used to buy items. as another currency,

Those items are already mats bought with SP currencies; I don’t think they need to change at all. (I am, however, hoping, that there will be new uses for them or alternative versions that stack better.)

But it would have to change, currently there are only 189 skill points available on the map to get (if those don’t change to hero challenges) And it seems like instead of skill point challenges in HoT we get mastery points. The Bloodstone Shard costs 200 skill points. If we aren’t getting skill points leveling up anymore, then how would you be able to purchase that? Unless they lower the cost of these skill point items then the currency used to purchase them would have to be changed.
