About to make my first Revenant and was wanting everyones opinion on what race this would be best in

Norn because they’re hero based, as in they want to be legendary in life and death but animations are fat and slow. Better go human female with revealing clothes, battle-bra and running around in tight pants that outlines their butt cheeks.

Might as well enjoy the view if your going to be starring at it a lot.

Norn female is a lot more revealing.

Asura. Asura for everything. Bookahs are just fodder.

Asura of course, same as every other class . Why do you even have to ask?

Sylvari are more interesting if you’re playing the HoT story. If you care about having an explanation as to where your revanent powers came from ‘I-just-woke-up-and-I-could-do-this’ is pretty easy.
Also, some of the blindfold skins have clipping issues in the back, so hair might be a significant consideration. I love asura, but the blindfold-over-the-ears looked funny to me.

I go with human revenant.
Only because racial skills aren’t useable by the revenant, human racials completely suck, and only if you made two each of the cooler races already. The cooler races of course being Asura, Sylvari, Charr and Norn. Yes everything but human. Because humans stink. But they got to be wedged into your character slots somewhere I guess.

If the OP is asking be cause of racial differences like skills etc.: it doesn’t matter, you can’t even use your racials and there are no other benefits besides looks.

I find it hard to play a norn with no access to shapeshifting. Ditto that with sylvari and plant shaping (not that they get much of it). So, no revenants from them.

The other three races have abilities that are not so much an innate part of them, so it’s easier to see why a character would never use them. I have one male charr Rev (straight to 80 with tomes), one human female (no level boosts at all), and one asura female (she was supposed to be a key farm character, but she’s too cute and I need an asura).

I absolutely love how everyone picks a race and sort of supports it with arguments, except those who recommend Asura

If you like bewbs: Go Human or Norn Female
If you like being cool: Go Charr (Male and Female are good) or Asura Female
If you like being a hero: Go Human Male or Sylvari
