HoT get me excited and for sure i will buy it because I find ArenaNet worth my money BUT what to do now? HoT won`t be released sooner than a half of a year because they didn`t tell us even a price of an expansion and there will be probably beta tests and a little bit time for pre orders so my question is will We have to wait all this time before anything new comes to game? Expansion is an continues of current living story so it looks like there won`t be anyting before HoT is released.

continue doing dailies for AP, gathering T6 mats for either crafting legendaries or selling for profit, WvW, PvP, finish luminescent armor if you havent yet the usual kind of stuff. For all we know they could have a big event planned and might release it soon.

There are many things that can be released between now and release of HoT.

SAB, Dragon bash and Pavilion could all work quite well.
Or WvW seasons and such.

finish your backlog of non-GW2 games :P

Save up your tomes of knowledge, skill points, pvp reward track potions (for when temporary reward tracks come along and you need to complete it a.s.a.p. – especially if HoT ultimately comes out with new reward tracks), Boosters, Writs of XP, Level 20 Scrolls from your birthday/s, save up your karma for new legendaries, save up obsidian shards for new legendaries, save up or unlock skins you plan on using for your future revenant/s, save your gold for new gemstore items and/or gear, get a few level 500 crafting professions – never know when you might need them.

Stuff like that.

So… will i only make 1 new Rev or will the specializations make me want duplicate of existing profesions too?

Currently I have enough scrolls/tomes to make 5 new lvl 80s, but I don’t have materials to equip them with ascended armor/weapon, so guess that’s what I’ll be saving up on.

Besides that I am looking forward to play SAB for the comming 6 months until HoT ;-)

Im finishing my ascended armor and leveling alts. My main goal of getting a legendary was completed a while back and I really only play my gaurdian so I feel its time to try some other stuff out.

specializations can be switched on and off, so you won’t need to roll two of each profession.

There are many things that can be released indeed, however, I don’t believe we will get as much as some people believe we will get.

Up until the Pax announcement we will most likely get fluff. Maybe a festival of some kind. However, as the demo for GW2 gets released, we will shortly get betas ongoing afterwards. So around april? a big junk of this time will be wasted on news-coverage, introducing the content of the expansions and perhaps something here and there. Betas will take time, at least a month. If the process of beta-test is to be ending mid-may, we will probably get around 4 months until release in which orderering starts. It is probably that we will get something during this timeframe however, I doubt they will add something that will steal hype from the expansion.

I also await a feature patch to be released before the expansion, setting the stone for the release.

I am going to try and get a level 80 of each profession. I only got a few left so I’m fairly confident.

I also plan on helping my friends get at least one character to 80 just in case all the zones are max level.

Start crafting/farming the equip for your Revenant

Grind more money of course.
You want to buy nice things as soon as possible when the new content released right?

I’ll try to get my magic find up as much as possible to find a lot of new skins of armor and weapons as soon as HoT launches.
Also I’ll level up my last two professions I’m not having on 80 yet, Ranger and Mesmer.
Huntsman and Weaponsmith still need to reach 500 on my account.
I’ll stock up on crafting materials so I’ll have a good foundation should I absolutely admire the new legendaries.

I like the idea of saving up PvP Reward potions. Solid idea right there.
I will complete world map finally. xD

Practise unranked PvP and farm up those Tome of Knowledge! By the time HoT is live, you’ll be a skilled PvP player with sharp reflexes for the monsters in Maguuma jungle.

I missed that part … where they said that?

I can’t image why a class will be locked to use the tome of knowledge and the tons of level scrolls (the ones that make a toon lvl 20, I have about 14 of those). Well … sooner or later it will be unlocked IF such a thing is true.

trying to farm enough gold and materials for new legendaries.
my goal is to craft 2-4 of them within the first week. depends how the precursor-collections will look like and how the mat-prices will increase.
