In basic terms, based on no knowledge of the game;

- new maps and new story
- new ways to travel through the maps (eg gliding exclusive to thsoe maps)
- professions get a new weapon choice based on a new sub profession each. ie more variety per profession
- Guild Halls
- new maps for pvp and wvw
- changes to the way you “build” a character. In this case traits. Also known as perks in other games. Also things called “masteries” which you can assign xp to post max level, which will allow you to essentially research new abilites, related to things like gliding, crafting, friendships to new races and lore
- a new heavy armoured profession called the Revenant
- improved reward system for core zones when doing activities in them
- ability to craft the base weapon for “legendary” weapons rather than rely on pure luck for a drop

Basically it sets up new systems to evolve the game and professions from for future updates, plus furthering the existing

No offence, but what’s your point in asking? Just play the game, explore it – many questions will get solved before you even have to ask them.
The addon will take a few months to come out, so you have enough time to explore the core game.

Why i asked is for the simple fact of i dont want to waste time leveling my character in categories that wont be there once you bought the expansion…..like traits for example, i read that they will remove it. So whats the use in spending time leveling my traits if it will just fall away in due time??

Aaaah thanx, so the expansion wont effect my character in the end?? Like the other reply i posted??

Example spending time in leveling something that wont be there in the end, which will leave all my efforts and time in vein

Don’t spend gold on traits. That’s really all. The trait change is coming before the expansion.

Doing the events that give you traits is not wasted. You get the normal rewards for them too.

Traits won’t be removed, they’re just changing the way they are working and how they can be aquired.
