When PvE Raiding is Released.

There will be more dps diversity, condi & power. That opens up the door for more specs/prof
There will be more group utilities added with elite specs and rev. That opens up the door for more specs/prof
Yet to be seen how much healing a druid (or whatever else) will actually be req. Doubt more than a single piece of slightly higher toughness gear will be req’d for any sort of ‘tanking’. Kinda doubt that’ll even be super important for most things.
I think different fights will also benefit from different compositions. So better groups will likely have lots of characters setup for raiding right outside to swap around.
Prolly mulitple sets of ascended gear on the same characters. To swap between power/condi for example
This may leave some people that ALWAYS want to play X thing disappointed if there is only some niche uses for their prof/spec.

I think that the one constant will always be someone doing the healing, probably a Druid. What gear will be considered optimal for that healer remains to be seen. Like you, I expect that the DPS role is going to require carrying both condi/DD gear. Aggro holder? Based on one fight, it looks like the aggro priority for the Armor stat has been increased, so I’m expecting that in any fight where aggro management and/or positioning the target matters, one player will be expected to have one of the Toughness sets (Soldier, Knight, Rabid, Dire would be the most likely) and maybe more than one.
It also remains to be seen whether certain professions will be emphasized and others left out. I fully expect that to be the case, but would be happy to be surprised.
