Over the past few days has anyone noticed a decrease in the amount of ley line sparks? I had max participation on two runs against Mordremoth, collected and opened about 45 noxious pods, and 15-20 crystallized supply caches from tangled depths. Out of all of those, there were ZERO sparks. I know for sure because I had zero when I started the runs.
I got a ton of ley line crystals and other loot, but no sparks. The Dragon fights were different toons, different days, and blended with other personal story, world exploration and bosses. Anyone have a similar issue?

Since I need 179 more sparks for HOPE (unless they change that in the April patch), I sure hope you just had a patch of RNG issues.

Why are you trying to get them from noxious pods, when you have a far more likely chance to get them from supply cache’s ?

All the pods were opened in Dragon’s Stand, and all the caches were opened in Tangled Depths, all after I finished events and looting, and ZERO sparks was the result. I know RNGesus has forsaken me, but 0/60+ containers has got to be something else.

@TexZero: as stated above, I did open crystallized supply caches and their contents before leaving the map. Also, ley line sparks are supposed to be available from pods and caches, according to wiki. I don’t want to debate which is better when both are valid sources, I want to know why both types didn’t give any of these as rewards.

its just a bad patch for you. I opened about 30 or so supply cache’s in tangled depths yesterday and got probably 20 sparks myself. apologies if that isn’t what you want to hear

This is like the easiest thing to get. There are clumps of them in tunnels like rata novus. If you keep changing maps you can farm them over and over very quickly in TD.

I did a little research and I think it will be easier for me to just run 11 alts up through Ch 13 of PS to complete my stack of sparks. I’m trying to save up my currency from TD so I don’t want to buy keys for the caches. It’s not like it’s a huge rush, anyway, since I’m going to hold off on assembling fulgurites, just amass the mats, until ANet says if they’re tweaking the amalgamated gemstone situation in the April patch. After all, one possible tweak is to reduce the ingots needed for Gift of Maguuma Mastery.

Before I beggar myself or lock mats away into account bound things I can’t use, I want to know if the requirements remain as they are or not.

I do hope it is just a patch of bad luck. I needs quite few for the guild upgrades even though I have help from a couple of friends.

The wiki may be wrong, as fas as I know, I never got any ley line sparks in Dragon Strand but in the crystallized caches from Tangled Depth and they’re not that rare there.

I’m really hoping it’s a bad patch too, maybe today’s will fix some of my luck :p
Maybe by the time I get the sparks I need, the problem of making amalgamated gemstones will be solved.

I don’t think ive ever gotten a spark from a pod, but they drop all the time from the TD chests
