Is there any kind of lore of where do Elite Specs come from? More since there is nothing in the Story.

Like I would like to know why a Necromancer in the past (roleplaying wise) would grab a Great Sword and be like “meh, I can’t do nothing with this” and why after HoT, they would grab the same Great Sword and Scream “I Have the POWEEEER!!!”.

Or was the particular weapon that gets unlocked with the elite, that gives them the particular power?

Yea kinda odd how there was no story quest for it at all i was expecting something of the lines of spirit / nature quest for ranger to become a druid. They could of done so much more instead they went with no content huge grind

No lore beyond the blog posts revealing them, never brought up by the characters that have them(Marjory, Rytlock, etc). It’s really underwhelming considering there was supposed to be some.

I’m hoping this gets addressed in future HoT releases (Raids, maybe).

I do think it has something to do with Destiny’s Edge 2.0:
Marjory picking up her sisters great sword
Braham inherits his mom’s longbow

Either way, I would love to see more on this.

From what I’ve been told, the devs have said that the elite specs are based on the plot points and not the other way around. Marjory’s not a reaper, she’s a necromancer with a greatsword(like Trahearne). Braham’s not a dragonhunter, he’s a guardian with a memento he doesn’t use. Hopefully that’ll change in the future, but I’m not getting my hopes up.
