Have I been missing it? They talked a lot about Taunt being attached to some skills allowing for more control, making the enemy attack you for so long, but I haven’t seen it on the new skills at all. Did they do away with it or am I just overlooking it?

I envy you for never experiencing being hit by Beastly Warden.

It’s nasty.

It’s also on a few skills… like this one: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Forced_Engagement

It’s a rare effect, and rightfully so… it’s a pretty powerful mechanic.

So it’s not meant to really be a control effect that becomes a normal part of PvE play then? That’s disappointing. I was hoping to see more use of it in dungeons or raids.

So far, Arenanet has been pretty conservative with taunts. It’s been on revenants, warriors, ranger pets, and I think that’s it. You’d think you’d see it on guardians (because they’re tanky) and on thieves (before it fits thematically) but nope.
