I pre-purchased HOT immediately and don’t regret it …. yet … with reading all the forums and bugs and issues and opinions I have hit the brakes pretty hard. I have 92% map completion for VB and have only ventured into AB and TB far enough to get my pets. I wont complete any maps or do anything except events for experience (masteries) until the bugs are worked out. Is anyone else waiting? I’m afraid that I will have missed the “masses” and will have a hard time moving forward. Not that doing content alone is the problem, but events take more than one to be successful

You aren’t alone. A lot of people are complaining 100% map doesn’t give you anything in HoT maps right now/ or that they are bugged and it is giving them nothing. I just am not all that…secure… in knowing that they will be able to fix it so that it will also reward those already with it a map’s completion properly that experience this bug.

nah, I´m maxing out all my masteries for the raid.

Me… Yeah, you kind of missed the masses. LFG tool is now mandatory if you want to be placed in highly populated map.

I’m waiting but for a different reason. I’m waiting for it to be made a little bit easier (inevitable imo).

In the meantime I have plenty of other stuff to do.

It took me 2 years to get map completion in core Tyria. Not because I was waiting for anything but because I just did not feel the need to complete them all yet. So am I waiting for anything for HoT before doing map completion? Nope, I am just playing and having a good time while doing it. If I happen to come across a problem I will do a support ticket and then move on and wait till later to see if it’s fixed.
No matter how often they test it in-house they cannot find all the bugs. Impossible when you are talking only a few hundred (maybe) in the office while there are thousands in the real maps to play at once. Those in-house will probably not play the way the thousands play since the ones in the office know how its “supposed” to go while those not in the office will try to break it or get it to do things it’s not supposed to do, just human nature. (my husband would do that with robotic vehicles so often that his work finally would just tell him to go out and try to break it just to find the bugs)
