I did!! I was quite shocked to find the email. I am super excited. My husband, did not get an invite, but he can watch me play hehe

Not sure if this is what you think it is. This is a stress test that lasts 4 hours, with a break in between on a single day. It’s not the actual beta. Nonetheless, I’m pretty stoked to mess around on a revenant for a couple hours and get a feel for it.

I did as well. Really looking forward to seeing how it looks. Just wished we were able to play longer.

Based on this info, and the titles within the game, I’m guessing anyone who has played GW2 for more than 1 year? I’d like to know how they vet and select their players for beta’s as well.

Some of my guild-members did get in though. Too bad we cannot play together, but they can share the stories since there is no NDA ^^

Played since the 3 day headstart, bought collectors edition (roughly £135) still didn’t get in.
Guess they take other things as well into consideration or I was just unlucky.

Oh well, I am sure I will read any new information and get to play when it actually comes out.

I didnt get a vite but I work this weekend. Look forward to hearin stuff when I get back from drill :P

I did exactly the same (GW2:CE) but I also played in the BWE’s. I’m just wondering if they base it off hours played or AP’s, or any other factor that isn’t so ‘random’.

Ah~ I’m so salty right now. I could say why I deserved it, but I’m sure there are many people with just the same reasons. Well, whatever, I’ll get over it. I’m just hoping there’ll be a mesmer operative in there who’ll be throwing us all biscuits of info.

Really surprised I didn’t. Got into the core game’s beta fairly early on. I’d go on about playing since EGA and how I’ve spent loads on the cash shop… but that is entitled attitude. I’ll wait for mine that I’ll hopefully get. Enjoy guys.

PS people who didn’t get in, feel free to ask question in HoT forum, I will try to answer those I can after playing it. Remember the 2 hour timeframes are very short, so don’t expect a spectacular overview.

To get a chance in Beta you must be signed up. However, at this early stage of testing, only a few were selected. More will be selected later on. (a TL:DR of Anet explaining it).

I got an invitation, too. Just read the email again and saw that the first stress test is in the evening, not in the morning… now I’m really excited xD

I think it would have been fairer to invite everyone from certain servers. Unless they have done that and arent telling people. If the servers are still split (which I believe they are) then that would have been the best way to do a stress test.

12pm-2pm and 5pm-7pm pst? Thats early for us east coasters but i will call off work if i have to.

i don’t know if i got one ore not the email says i did but whats with the “log into your invited account” the email never gave me any account to use or do you get that later?

I hope I’ll receive an invite too, I got ~5500 hrs played and 25.711 AP I’m getting really bored I need to test it and of course give constructive feedback to ANet, I really don’t understand what is the criteria of choosing the beta testers
