Don’t get me wrong. Druid sounds amazing and I love playing a full healer/support in MMOs… but GW2 is not healer friendly at all. I guess maybe in PVP? not everyone is a pvp junkie though. For basic Dungeons and explore modes if you join up as a healer you get yelled at trolled and kicked. “Bro get yo zerker gearz”

So I am curious was the druid made a pure healer for PVP? or hearth of the thorns actually have dungeons and group content (Non-PVP) where a healer is actually useful? I would love to see the game go more towards a team focus and less of a zerker focus.

I believe all classes are balanced around 5v5 PvP. Everything else is just an extension.

Oh this is only possible if they tome up to 80 then get druid line and then start personal story.
Even then being down scaled to what ever level the ps is will make it a brease.

Zerker is actualy even more team focused then what OP want tho.

Everyone suport eachother blast fire and water fields if needed put up reflect etc.

They dont lean on 1 player doing the healing for them

Anet claims HoT will have PvE content that gives more of a place to support characters (both in the open world and in raids).

It’s an often forgotten fact, but the story continues in HoT (and that’s the part i meant). So you already are lvl 80 and possibly able to equip the elite spec by achieving enough hero points (which a lot of players will of course already have)

the fact that healer are “needed” doesn’t mean they are “rewarded”, the way GW2 is, LOOT STICK is the king, and healer are the “nice guy that finish last”. if anet is seriously about encouraging healer, they need to fix the way the game reward players.

why have a healer? because not everyone is happy with playing a meta that encourages high dmg output by every player with no dmg absorb to counter the high dmg output that every player is running. anet has said in HoT that you will “have to dust off that toughness gear and take some serious hits” their hope i believe is to raise average mob dmg to the point where you get 1 shotted if you are running pure glass cannon. it offers a different playstyle. a defensive playstyle and that is good. tanking has been stated as a necessity to raids, and i can only hope this is true.

Within the beta raid healing reaaally was useful. During the time I tried to switch to zerk due to an initial lack of DPS we wiped fast.
