Why make it so hard????
Things have been made this hard, because people actually wanted a challenge in PvE, in Core-Tyria, a player could do everything by him/herself, and many of the mobs could be ignored and just ran past, ect. It became a real snooze-fest, and many people stopped doing PvE because of that.
Now HoT content, is a challenge, it’s harder, but only really requires more thought on how to best handle the situation, there’s an order in which most encounters are handled, such as which mobs to kill first, using the terrain to your advantage and your skills when they are most important is what is expected out of this content.
Besides, ANet already nerfed most of the “Hero Challenges” into being a commune or a veteran, ect. And yes, there will be times your going to actually have to play with other people, and work with them, I know it’s a shocker….

I think Ucar is talking about adventures, which I’ve seen plenty of criticism towards.
Most adventures are easy enough to at least get a silver in. Didn’t take me hours of practice. I get that some people hate twitch games but asking to nerf all of the solo content ie the adventures is not the answer. Only a couple of them need tweaks.
Almost all of the adventures can be silver’d with 1-3 retries. Gold takes just a bit more time.
The ONLY adventure that requires a specific path for gold is “the floor is lava”.
There’s no place in an MMO for this sort of dross.
As a mini game that you can choose to do or not, that would be fine.
But to lock masteries behind these so called “adventures” is wrong.

I agree, but only because I prefer mmorpg to lean towards immersion and less towards theme park.
