Why should somebody pre order the game when they have always came up with better deals after release?.
Are they ever going to properly reward costumers that support them even with out a release date or them having explained all the content in the expansion?.
Or am I just asking for too much?.

I’d say if you like to beta content before it becomes available to everyone, you should pre-order. You will have access to any up coming open betas so you don’t have to rely on farming for a beta portal or hoping your name gets picked from the mailing list.

The only other thing I can think of is it will upgrade your account so as soon as HoT launches you will be ready. Would think you’d need to patch/download the new content but the second it becomes live you will be ready to do what ever you have to, to jump right in.

As with most games these days, everyones client will be updated regardless of whether they buy HoT or not – buying will just grant access to the content.

To answer the thread’s title, you shouldn’t, wait until all the information is available and then make an informed decision.
Since they announced the price and there’s still so much about the content of the expansion we don’t know, not even it’s release date yet, pre-purchasing in this case (like in most cases anyway) is a really bad idea.
