Since HoT is changing how influence and guilds work, will any active upgrade research in your guild come launch of HoT be allowed to finish, or will they simply be deleted (or refunded as influence)? As a small guild runner with only a few weeks left till launch, it seems important to know for anyone trying to secure things like the banners or banks in time.

After all, speeding up the timers does not come cheap, and we currently have no idea exactly what time on the 23rd HoT will go live. I’d just really hate to waste peoples time and effort in pushing for something that is unobtainable because we would have something like four hours left on what’s being built come HoT and lose the upgrade.

I don’t know the answer you are looking, with the 10,000 influence to 1 Favor exchange rate, probably would be best to use as much of it now while you still can to get all research levels done now.

oh yes, if we had the spare influence we would just do that. This is more a matter of cases where people are rushing to get what they can but don’t already have tens/hundreds of thousands of influence saved up. People trying to figure out if they would need to invest large (relative to how rich you are or not of course) amounts of gold into purchasing influence to speed up the timers to make sure it’s done before Oct 23rd or if you’re fine when the upgrade is already purchased before the release day and in the middle of getting upgraded.

actually it is unclear which upgrades will still exists after launch of HoT
no idea what will hapen with banners and guild catapults or WvW Buffs you could activate to boost a claimed objective
what about all the upgrades that you need to start missions at the moment
are they lost or do they transfer over into the new stuff

I am in two person guild with my GF and we worked really hard to get all 250 bank slots and the upgrade will be done in 3 days, so we are safe
