I really really really…really liked the fact that the Revenant/Stronghold Preview Weekend took place on the Live Server and not on an isolated one like the Verdant Brink Beta.

Has Arena Net said anything about this matter? Thanks to the Preview Weekend I am now spoiled when HoT Betas are concerned and if the real BWEs will lock us away from the Live Server onto a single Map with only Revenants around, it might be a big letdown for me and become boring fast. I am used to taking my Revenant to all the places my other Characters go daily (Fractals, PvP, etc.)

I know the BWEs are for testing HoT Content aswell, but if you find a way to integrate the HoT Maps (only accessible for the Prepurchasers) into the Live Server for the BWEs, it would be the best for everyone. The people that want to further test the Revenant and do not want to spoil HoT Maps/Story during a BWE could just do their Fractals, WvW, whatever with their Rev and the others can explore the Maguuma Jungle to their hearts content.

P.S. to A-Net: Please reroll or create a new copy of our Accounts for the BWE, because I learned the hard way that if you delete your BETA Char, your new Character does not get new Rune/Sigil /Trinket Boxes but only the ones for Armor and your Bank is not reset. Thanks to that my Preview Weekend ended earlier because I did not like to play a Revenant without Runes, Sigils and Trinkets in PvE.

They already did a test on a HoT map on the “live” servers… with Verdant Brink. So it is quite likely they will keep doing that. Of course the definition of live is bit skewed here, since the maps could be walled off so that an event will either take place on new expansion maps or in the old world. Whether we will have events where this boundary can be freely crossed is something we don’t know yet.

Betas are like ghost accounts of your real one so you can still see your achievements, friends list and wardrobe but you can’t chat in guild or use the trading post.

Can’t chat in guild was one of the dumbest things I’ve seen them do.
They didn’t want them doing bank/guild bank stuff I get it.

But when I’m on the rev I’d like to be able to share my experience with guild mates, word of mouth, its free marketing (assuming the person playing likes it)

We had a lot of people in the guild saying they weren’t going to bother playing the beta slot because it cut them totally off from everyone.

i know but it is not about Guild Chat or Trading Post, it is about playing the stuff i play every day with everyone else, like Fractals or PvP. Map and Groupchat was enough for the Rev Event, i don’t Need more Chat Options I just don’t want to be stuck on a single Map with 100% Revenants.

No you can’t play outside the jungle for the beta weekends but you dont need to play revenants.
