Will tome of knowledge, writ of exp and similar items grant mastery progress in hot?

I hope not. If so, I’ll burn through this content waaaaay too quickly.

Content will remain the same! By using Tomes you will only be able to use it’s full potentional and play " in normal way" from the very begining. Btw what is your suggest for all the players who has planty of those Tomes ? it’s their right to use them in a way to lvlup the Revenant and increase the Mastery lvls.

Tomes grant levels, not experience. I doubt they’ll impact mastery progression.

I’m not 100% sure on this. I “think” someone in beta says you gain a tiny amount of exp in mastery but not a full level.

My memory is fuzzy so don’t count on what I said is accurate.

It’s very unclear, but this is my theory of how it will work out.

I gather you need to do specific content to get mastery points. The exp you gain moves you toward the next slot where that you can allot points.

So, as I understand it

(Generic Mastery line)
[mastery slot 1]———exp———> [mastery slot 2]———exp———> [mastery slot 3]

So, what happens if you use tomes to gain exp and get past the spots where you can allot mastery points, but don’t have any to use? My guess is you don’t get any immediate benefit from it. You’ll still need to get the mastery points to use in the mastery point slots. If those points needed for say, gliding, are only in the expansion area then you’ll need to play that area to get those points to have advanced gliding even though you used a bunch of tomes on that line and unlocked the slots.

During demo/beta/stress test, using o ToK granted about a 5th of an experience/Master bar.

The demo/beta/stress test had XP and other mechanics adjusted for those unfamiliar with the game. Many things will be adjusted when released.
