Will xpac resolve outstanding WvW lag issues?

Like many other people I game with, this is a very large concern. I would like to support ANET and drop money on the xPac, but we need to know if this issue is being resolved or at least improved upon.
As it stands now, in large fights, the game becomes unplayable and it will be very hard to purchase an xPac for a game that is still broken.
Thanks

the lag has to do with your computer, not the game

The game’s graphics performance (which isn’t lag) is partially due to the user’s computer but also partially because the game engine isn’t optimized.
However, the skill lag experienced quite frequently in game is completely and 100% server-side. ANet’s systems can’t handle large numbers of people all simultaneously activating their skills in one area.

Its one reason why DX 12 would help with server load and player side by using all the hardware and not be restricted like it is now.

DX12 will not help skill lag because the skill lag has nothing to do with graphics performance or optimizations in Windows. It has to do with the back-end server’s capability to process data.

You are absolutely wrong and obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

They put optimizations in a while back that helped the issue, but all the changes since that time have caused the problem to return with a vengeance.
I wonder how they expect their WvW population to purchase on xPac for a broken game mode if it will remain broken. /shrug

Considering this is a hardware issue, unless arena net either buys new servers or changes the way skills communicate with the server with the xpac then no.

Everything you said is wrong. It is because the server cannot handle processing all the communication. The skills send a command to the server telling it that player X has used skill 1.
DX 12 only benefits FPS drops, so again, you are wrong and it is a good idea to avoid spreading false information.

Also the load on the servers and their network can be reduced through code optimizations or better written code. The opposite is sure the hell what caused the problem to get worse
So you aren’t completely right…..

Given that you quoted me, how is what I said any different than what you said? False information? What you said is basically what I said just with a bit more meat on the bones?
In fact, nothing you quoted is false.

I am sorry, did I miss the convention where cillard.3986: became Chobits.2430?
The point being, if I wanted to address you I would directly and not someone else.

Well you quoted me directly ….and I wasn’t wrong.

Yeah ANET can take all the money they are squeezing out of the vet players with this new expansion and get servers that aren’t from 1990.
