Guild Wars 2

No, I feel really let down by HoT. I’m almost never in the maps and have no interest in levelling HoT masteries. I don’t use the new char abilities. I feel precursor crafting is a slap in the face as was the dungeons etc nerfing. Final straw for me was the flurry of new items they put on sale in the gem store. This game is now too far from the original games that won me over. I’ll keep playing for now but I’m looking around for an alternative.

I’m sure not going to buy any more of this nonsense! Arenanet doesn’t know a kitten thing about their game and have no exact direction for Game-Play & Content. It used to be a Casual MMO that had very few bad habits, now its just becoming a money grab. The Developers are too lazy to figure out the most optimal way to make this game into what they want. All of these new features is a big step back and only will cause more problems with further development. In stead of running around freely content will be on a forced track, Mastery’s, Copy-Paste Event Meta’s, Copy-Paste Mechanics; all over the game. There is nothing good about this game. Imagine, balancing 5-20 One-Line ES’s on 9 different base professions. Am I the only person who sees that nightmare?

I felt that HoT was lacking the soul, charm and passion of the core game or the entire franchise, GW1 xpacs included. It was so radically different that I didn’t feel like I was playing a Guild Wars game.

There are some bright spots in HoT where I still sense passion but those moments are few and completely overshadowed by this larger sense/feeling that Anet has been taken over by corporate greed/decision makers. I don’t mind changes to the game, even radical ones, but gamers can sense when a change is made in an attempt to make the game more enjoyable as opposed to making a change solely for the purpose of generating money. I no longer recognize this game that I played for 3 years with fondness… RIP Anet/GW2.

No way. ANET and their SW developers need a wake up call.

Personally I would fire them all as a VP. They have missed the marketing mark and have cost NC SOFT millions in lost revenue.

They treat this game as if it’s their personal sand box and they keep missing the mark.

You guys are so wrong in the direction you are taking thids game.

Need to focus on the casual and average player.

You need to look back at GW1 and relearn some lessons learned. You took a great game and destroyed it.

I was hesitant to even pre-purchase HoT. But being an old Guild Wars fan, I figured I’d give them the benefit of the doubt, and it’s the last time I will. They just did not seem to get much right to me, from the way the meta events work, to the asinine idea to put the raid entrance IN a map where the population has a direct impact on almost everything going on. I don’t really know what they were trying to accomplish with HoT…from cranking up the difficulty to adding so much grind, but to me it isn’t fun or “engaging”…it’s just annoying and frustrating. Revenant is kinda cool…thats about all I gained from buying the expansion. So no, I will not be pre-purchasing any GW2 content again.
