It doesn’t need a win. You just need to wait until the cool down period goes away which will be 30 minutes past the hour after the defend event.
Ooops, I deleted my OP and didn’t see your reply .. thanks for that, as I found out once the meta reset it unlocked, it’s ridiculous these things are locked out at any time but this one is really stupid as at the time I posted the attack was OVER!
