builds templates
We all want it, Anet know that we want it and want to implement it, but like 3-4 months ago Collin said in an interview that there was nobody working on that for the expansion.
What amazes me is that they went to the effort of doing it in the 1st game, knew it was a fantastic feature, then never implemented it here. Madness.
I’m just going to bump this thread because it would mean a ton to me to see ANet respond/incorporate this into this game. It is way too annoying to swap builds right now.
Yes! I would love to easily swap to a specific Dungeon build. Most of the time people are trying to go so fast its hard to keep up while messing around in the build panel and avoiding combat…
I believe gw1 saved the templates locally and not on anet servers.. ?
Also maybe how they seperated PVP, WvW, and PVE builds, they can add like 1 or 2 more PVE tabs so you can just chose the one u want to play, if they cant set it up like save and load style of gw1

They did a lot in the first game that was fantastic that they never brought along for the ride, it’s actually quite embarrassing.
But ya they added “jump” so I guess that’s something !

That is how it worked. I had to swap over my templates when I got my new computer.
The crazy about it that the logik of how they have to do it is ready from the GW1 ( the best game ever)
For me, that is by far the most important feature I would like to see added with HoT. Still can’t comprehend why this hasn’t been implemented from the beginning.

I tottaly agree this an guild halls the second it solved
Bump
One of the most anticipated features for me.
guess i’m one of the exceptions that doesn’t find this all that annoying. they kind of released this ‘feature’ with the specializations patch. you have a wvw build, a pve build, and a pvp build.
As true as Odin’s spear flies,
There is nowhere to hide.
I do enjoy the changes to allow different builds in each game-mode, but it is not the same as templates; which would switch your gear/weapons, traits and utilities, etc.

Tenplates dont have to change hear, simply changes traits and utilities is all that is needed, since in SPVP we dont even use gear.
players can do that themselves. We just want the basic stuff of changing traits and utilities.

This +1.
It’s nice to have 1 build saved for each mode, really, but it is more a partial feature for me.
I just hope that Anet will change their priority in their “feature’s list to add”
I don’t even understand how this is not a thing yet. It’s been asked ever since the game released.
Hey, they still don’t remember Ranger pet names so although I do definitely want it I’m not at all surprised they haven’t delivered this yet. They simply don’t think of it as a priority.
