cutscenes are too quite
Can confirm; cutscene volume is too low.
+2
Cutscenes can barely be heard.
Also, during the initial cutscene upon joining the Beta in the Silver wastes, the Silver wastes music was also playing in the background.
and… why do we have low quality video on those cutscenes? I can see a lot of pixelation… this is 2015 what about some 1080p quality video?
Ya. I couldn’t hear much of anything from the cutscenes, so I turned up my character dialogue in the audio settings, and it wouldn’t go up, so its definitely a bug.
Several of the NPC’s just flat out weren’t talking in the cutscenes for me. I could see the dialogue scrolling past, but the first several lines they spoke weren’t being voiced.
I also found the cutscenes extremely quiet, this wasn’t helped by the fact that the map’s background music continued playing over them at normal volume.
I’m also experiencing bad audio quality with the voiced Mordem enemies but I’m assuming that’s just because they haven’t finished cleaning that all up? (Volume is fine, they just sound like really low quality audio).
I was sad that they didn’t put in subtitles for Rytlock’s big cut-scene. I’m hard of hearing and the volume being off combined with no subs just made it look cool, but I got nothing else from it.
I also had the problem of characters “talking”, but only the speech bubble showing up with no voice work. Mostly seemed to happen to poor Laranthir.
Audio in the rest of the game works for me, cut scenes almost entirely silent.
Yep, the Audio in the Cutscenes are very quiet. To hear the Cutscene Audio normal i have to risk getting my ears blown up by the normal Audio

Cutscene volume is way quieter than the rest of the dialogue and game sound and can barely be heard. Also subtitles please!
Also found this with all volumes in game and on computer turned up high.
Rytlock’s voice didn’t play at all when he appeared in the story step for me and yes the voices could be increased in volume a bit too.
“SHARPEN YOUR BLADES AND PROTECT YOUR VITALS!”
Such a great quote, when the audio finally worked. B-)
Plus we need SKIP button for cutscenes, it is kitten annoying to watch em over and over with diff char.
+1 Agreed, cutscenes way to quite! needs increasing and polish, hope this is possible as they seem to be prerendered, would be a pain for them to have to redo them all.
Might be the same problem I posted a bug about in LW Season 2, where Master volume was doubling down on cutscenes (Master at 50% affects everything, but also caused cutsenes to be 50%, which was affected by master again, making it 25%).
Check your Master volume level. Mine’s at 100% and cutscenes sound fine.
Though it might be different since Lara Hesperax.2537 says it’s on high.
