wait how much time did the red boss take? isnt he suppose to be only condi killed?
9 zerks 1 celestial revenant
3 “bosses” died like nothing
4th Boss touched it and raid was closed…….. easy
9 zerks killed red boss “like nothing”?
You’re either lying on the “nothing” or on the zerks.
Also those 3 dudes are trash mobs. The actual boss has similar mechanics but does way more unavoidable damage, and you actually have to tank the blue lightning or the party wipes. Gl tanking it with zerk thief/ele/mesmer.
You can actually do it with zerk revenant/guardian/(maybe)warrior/scrapper/necro/(maybe)ranger, but other classes will need some defensive stats or massive heal (and no, druid is not enough, because it needs astral form that is not frequent enough, so you need 2 druids or 1 very good cleric revenant/guardian).
However a balanced team of 5 players can probably do this first raid (in a longer time).
less then 10 min he died im telling you

If it took you 10 minutes to kill a trash mob then he didn’t “melt”, you beat your heads against it for a stupid amount of time because he was too hard for you to determine the mechanics.
Remember you only have 8 minutes to kill the actual boss which has 10x the hp as the red boss.
4/10
You got a few points for the replies, but I can’t justify any more merits than that.
Have a wonderful day, and we’ll see you next time on Under the Bridge.

Timers are basically DPS checks anyway. Besides, does anyone know the actual mechanics of the boss yet? I’m pretty sure they won’t be identical to the red enemy.

the fact that this is a mechanic is stupid enough, it means anet can’t design a balance against zerker and the only way they can get rid of zerker dominance is to disable them. I am actually quite disappointed that this is their “grand solution”.
despite the introduction of druid, blast healing continues to not be impacted by stat and remains the preferred way because anet had to keep to its promise that raid will require no fixed classes. unless they change the way blasting work, druid pretty much remain in their tiny niche which cannot be buff as it would break gw2 class flexibility foundation.
and a similar problem exist with condition damager, shifting them too much break the existing class balance; while had been buffing condi build before the beta, they do not want condi build that bypass armour yet counter by support to be the defacto damage dealer. that would just make support way too important and make strong support class dominate in pvp setting.
meanwhile, control side of the trinity continues to be nerf like no want cares if they exist or not…

From what I’ve seen on Reddit, the final boss is just the other mini-bosses combined, and then given a multiplier of 10 – or so it seems.
It’s just trash mobs, but they’re in the form of single minibosses. They’re obviously designed intentionally to teach you the mechanics coming up in the actual boss fight. The people who were in the raid when it launched all seem to have gone a little bit tin foil hat about this like Anet got scared you were getting through it too easy (as if your group is that much better than Anet testers and devs) and they had to close it. It’s entirely because of squad UI glitches – believe me, I got locked out of the game for 3 hours because of their issues with squad UI.
