I made a new character to play around with then deleted her as usual when I saw I had selected the wrong class. For some reason my extras got sent there, not to the character that was logged in. As to the extras…

title, char slot, and beta access – I expect them to stay no matter what

mini … added to wardrobe, assume it will stay
finisher … added, also assume it will stay
decoration … I put this in my bank for later

My glider skin is the big worry. I should have banked this but stupidly clicked on it instead to use it as I thought I was creating my beta character (I had clicked on ‘beta’ before creating a char but got a normal guardian not in the beta slot instead) . Will it be there when gliders are real as using it now did nothing? Can I get the original applicator back without having to use a transmutation charge?

You shouldn’t be deleting characters with things in their inventory. However, try to contact customer support and see if they can revert your character to post-purchase or something. They can most likely help, but if it’s in your wardrobe (it will be if you used it when HoT arrives) then it’s really not too big of a deal. They hand 10 free transmutation charges out every month.

Ten charges? The daily rewards only give 3.

Yes, it is fine to click and consume the glider item. Anet has stated it will be available as a skin during beta and when HoT is released. I can’t find the direct quote right now because the forum is slow but someone that did the same thing posted a response from a dev in game stating it would not be a problem. Think of it as an account unlock like your normal wardrobe items. It just won’t be visible until beta and Hot goes live.

As for the suggestion to contact support for a character restore, Anet has stated they cannot restore individual characters as they do not have to tools to do so. They will also not roll back accounts due to character deletions. They only do roll backs for accounts that have been hacked.

Also I don’t think you will need transmutation charges for the glider skin. It reads to me that it will be like minis, finishers, and mail carriers where it is unlocked for your account and you choose the one you want to use.

Thanks, I was worried I would have to use one of my dwindling supply of transmutation charges. I did not need the character restored, just when I realized it was not what I thought I deleted it before I could waste more effort. So I guess in the betas we have to use part of the amount of time in just creating the character?
