hi i was wondering if lets say you finish the hot story on one character, are you able to go on another character and do the story achievements, even though the character hasn’t started the story at all?

Each character has its own story progression, so not possible.

Actually I have found to my delight that you can do them on a different alt. I’ve only completed the story on my Daredevil but have been running about on my Reaper. Her first time in to helping the Itzel village she had the achieves available, and I joined guildies on the rabbits achieve and the end fight don’t get hit while airborne one (alas, I got hit once).

So for Season Two you do have to use the same alt both for story and achieve (unless they’ve fixed that, but they’d have said so, right?) but in HoT you only need to complete the story once to be able to take anyone you like in for achieves. Now, you may not be able to skip around chapters without someone else starting it, I didn’t test that, but you certainly can do achieves.

You get some of the achievements on the first play in HoT, you had them on the daredevil aswell, maybe you didn’t pay attention.

Some of them work at your first try and some of them need you to complete that instance first (even tho the achievements are available and you can complete them) and then repeat a second time to get them.

thanks for the replies. i think i should make it a scenario so it’ll be clearer,

say i have this character- Susan/Tempest she ran through the whole hot story(verdant brink to dragons stand-mordremoth dream battle) and unlocked the achievements in the panel – say for example the airborne one in the last chapter. Susan would have to do it again to get the airborne cheevo,obviously, but in this case my other character Timothy who hasn’t done the storyline, does it for the first time and makes it all the way to the end, so my question is will he be able to complete the last chapter and the airborne cheevo at the same time on his first attempt at the chapter since its already unlocked by Susan?
