i have 2 unspent points i’ve selected the gliding stuff but i cant upgrade it, why? how doesit work?

During the mastery tutorial I had the oppertunity to spend one, but I pressed escape. Since then im also unable to spend the points Everything is locked.

You need to select (highlight) the mastery xp bar you want to fill, but for the rest ,yeah this!

Here is how it works. Select the mastery you want to work on. Gain experience on the mastery by doing stuff in the world. Once full you can unlock the mastery by spending a mastery point in that mastery. It seems kind of backwards but hear me out. If we had to spend a mastery point first to start learning a mastery it may stop progresson. What would happen if you didn’t have any mastery points. You would be unable to unlock one to work on. This way if you have zero mastery points you still can work on them and simply unlock one after you earned another mastery point.

So i can spent mastery point once for every time i full my xp bar… This is so boring imho i d like to spend points i have w/o waiting to do events i dnt wanna do :/

I think the system where you need both leveling and points is probably a little counterintuitive, but I guess I get what they’re going for.

They don’t want it to be something you can just instantly max out by saving up points (keeping in mind that lots of people are going to start out with lots of points due to living world IINM), so you have to level each mastery by earning XP.

On the other hand, they don’t want it to be something you can just grind doing mindless XP farming to max out everything, you will have to do certain types of events, exploration, etc. to earn the mastery points.

If that’s the reason for it then it makes sense, though I don’t know if I necessarily like it. Feels like it might be a little artificially padded out but whatever.
