well I am a pvper but the dragon encounter was pleasant to defeat on 3 classes few times on each. Nice graphics and movement there..
I am not sure if it was instanced or not but felt that we were not many ppl to stress something on the stress test xD.

I liked the dragon too. Kinda like a more advanced version of the Skyrim Dragon.

The encounter is nice but it should be restricted to 5 players max, it just becomes faceroll after that.

Hm… I experienced the opposite. With 5 man (or really small groups), the Wyvern was done in less than 2 Minutes , while a large group took much longer. It’s harder to knock it down, because the Upscaling was massive.

I didn’t notice any upscaling of the break bar, all I know is he was knocked down everytime with groups of 10 or more players which by an hour into beta all knew when to hit the boss with cc, it became trivial.

Well I wasn’t there. But I do know that content scaling presently in GW2 tends to have a limit. So it becomes difficult until it becomes trivial.

The boss lack a little “stomp” for melee class, with a knockback.

They need to widen his AoE’s, perhaps during both ground and air phases. Plus i saw there’s a mastery, i think Exalted one, which in future when maxed out will grant immunity to wyvern’s blow out attack. Why? Sooner or later everyone will max out masteries and giving players straight up immunity to this single coolest attack will just trivialize this fight, AN don’t do it. Wyvern should stay a threat, no matter how far you progressed on your account.

It was mentioned that the Wyvern would be either sharing the platform with other mobs, or the platform would be smaller. I think it has potential to be a very fun fight once we see its finished product.

There’s a tail whip that does just that. Combine that with fire breath that will leave fields of death, if you do haev a group that melees a lot pretty quickly you’re stuck with very little open melee area, then he does his wing flap and you can’t go to his back because it’s covered in fire and it’s a bit of a “oh crap” situation.

Overall I liked it for what it was, far more engaging than most world bosses, but not what I’d call challenging, which is what the devs said it would be. (to clarify they said it wouldn’t be challenging, just another boss, they did a good job).

Don’t forget that demo content was “nerfed” for preview purposes and testing, it’s not how actual scaling is going to work when expac goes live.
