just adding things?
We only saw a sliver of the beginning of one zone, where vines have disrupted things terribly. In the trailers there seems to be plenty of bridges, meadows, hills, and other things to just run on. To me the gliders and mushrooms appear supplemental, not the required only transit methods.

Thats what worries me to. We have a hang gliding mastery which makes me think leveling will be required to get to many new places. Leveling hang gliding does not sound fun just to get places
Can’t relly review this before xpac launches don’t you think?
I hate the zephyr-whatever movement things in Dry Top, and I hate the launch pad things in the aetherblade pirate jumping puzzle, and, while it was a happy fun distraction for about five minutes and I wouldn’t mind seeing it return, I was not a huge fan of SAB and do not want any of its mechanics to bleed over into the main game.
The news of the ‘bouncing mushrooms’ in HoT has dampened my enthusiasm for this expansion even further. Do. Not. Want.
In terms of development cost, I can’t see how gliding would come even remotely close to developing a new class.
These new movement abilities – gliding and mushrooming – are some of the parts that add the replayability they keep talking about.
One of the examples they gave was using air currents. I can imagine players will pass these on their first run through the zone, and then revisit these areas when they can use that ability to access more areas of the map.
IMHO, it’s not necessarily a bad way to do things since, given the different Mastery tracks (such as gliding, lore etc), it helps keep all of the maps populated by giving players a reason to revisit, instead of just the very end maps.
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
So basically why add something new when we have old stuff?
How do fast paced and great views go together its either
fast paced see nothing
Slow paced great views

Ever play far cry? It was much much faster then running and provided a great view. Gw2 it looked very slow paced and you could see the same view without even gliding

No I havent not that into single player games tbh and you cant really compare a fps to a mmo view vise.

It is like comparing GW2 to a single player game and then complaining why the graphics aren’t as good.
