Stay mad. Keep reminding ANET that you’re mad about being forced to do single player content in a game advertised as massively multiplayer.

Leaderboards do not make them multiplayer content. Not when the people doing them don’t care about how well other players have done.

I dont mind stuff being hardcore to get legendary armors like raids, cuz its smth u have to work for, but stupid little advenutres preventing me from enjoying the game?!

I finally got thru enough of those to finish mastery, but not one second of them was fun (well, drone race fun I guess). Making content difficult is one thing, but it should at least be fun. Very poor design Anet.

You have to repeat adventures, several of them, if you want to craft a legendary. Yep. It’s like “Dudes, do you know how much time it took us to make this feature? You better play it and play it kitten multiple times. Oh yea? You don’t want to? I will make you. You’ll see!” Well, now we are seeing, painfully.

But, to ANET’s s credit, this is indeed a nice feature but, I don’t think it fits where it is right now. It should be part of Heart of the Mists type of zone where one can select which adventure to play from a drop down list any time of the day and night. and should be removed from PvE content. Otherwise, it’s like buying “Need for Speed” game only to realize I need to park my car near a lake in between racing to catch a fish first to unlock an upgrade to the dope car that I wanna drive. And that fish better be BIG! ANET, do you not agree?

Agreed. They especially suck for Oceanic players, because it is all server-based (like gliding…)

Fortunately there are enough easy adventures that you can max all masteries while skipping some of the irritating adventures.

The problem here is that when players are forced to group together for say a Meta event, you get the opposite people coming in and making posts about how they are being forced to coordinate with massive numbers of players to get personal rewards. Anet can’t win.

There is a solution. Remove mastery points. Remove the mechanical benefits for doing those things. The people who don’t like adventures are no longer forced to do adventures. The people who don’t like the coordination required of meta events are no longer forced to do meta events. They all become optional.

Then, if anybody complains, just point out that they don’t have to do those things to improve how well they do at the parts of GW2 they enjoy.

They are not mandatory. No one must fight a nuhok champion every day. Maybe you want to, but you don’t need to. No one is forcing you to max your masteries.

That hero point could be completed with nothing but the 6 skill. It never required Adrenal Mushrooms and it never required other players trying to heal you. All it took was proper timing. Before it was shut down for an xp exploit, I took my characters through there alone no problem to get the points. I still do not have Adrenal Mushrooms unlocked.

I finish that hp with copper cheap health regen food and good timing. No require for that mushroom :p

Map competition is irrelevant anyway because you don’t need to do any adventures at all to get whatever jungle-movement-mastery you want. And you don’t need very many at all, most can be avoided through creative jumping.

I am absolutely terrible at adventures, and yet I have all the movement-based masteries. At this point I’m just filling in random stuff I don’t want, like the daily champion.
