My question is will be able to keep the loot we get during the beta weekend? Its not clear to me from the post.
I know some people were complaining after the last beta that they got precursor drops and couldn’t keep them. I would assume its the same situation for this upcoming beta.

All items, currency and any other rewards obtained on a beta character will not carry over after beta and cannot be sent to actual account characters. This mentions the first beta stress test but it still applies:

Your beta activity (including character development, account-based development, and currencies) won’t impact your live Guild Wars 2 account. Your beta progress will be saved for the duration of the stress test, but all beta characters and beta account progress may be deleted at the end of the test period.

Loot drops are on a temporary server. So no you will not be able to keep it. The last beta was the same way. Test the area and feedback. Don’t bother farming, you can’t keep it.

I’m looking forward to testing that system. I’ve been holding off on map exploration on alts until I know how it will be different in HoT. So I will likely do a hunk of exploration to see how it works and give feedback on whether it’s too weak, too strong, or just right.

Hopefully it will be a marked improvement over current stuff, even if that means I have to wait even longer to work on maps. It’s not like map completion’s been a giant priority for me after I did it twice including WvW.

The flip side of not keeping loot, by the way, is that you can spend your resources, use up skins and transmutes and makeovers, and you’ll still have them on your live account. Because you aren’t really spending loot either.

Your beta-characters are totally separated from your “normal” characters, it is kind of a different account, so the loot you get with your beta-characters/account can not be used or transferred to your “normal” characters/account.

But you can keep the loot and progression you get in the BWE1 with your beta characters/account and use it during the BWE2 with your beta account/characters.

Beta characters are on a ghost account that copies all your data on your origional account but its basically a seperate account on your exsiting account which means if you open your daily chest on your beta character when you go on your main character you can get that login reward again.

Others answered it already, you won’t keep any loot you get during the beta. The map bonus reward will be available only for beta characters to TEST it, so once HoT is released the amounts you get make sense and aren’t too little or to high.

PS: People got precursors during the stress test by forging the infinite number of exotics you get for free. It wouldn’t make any sense to let them keep precursors they got with an unlimited number of uses
