Yeah, I have no idea what he is trying to say. It is a jumbled mess.

I think he/she is trying to say the specializations for Thief, Warr, Guard are bland making the 3 classes seem as if they have not been improved.

I agree with Guardian, I think the changes are laughable, Anet took some Ranger skills tweeked them a minor bit and slapped them on Guardian. There doesn’t seem to have been a lot of thought put into it.

As for Thief and Warrior, I like what they have done, though I have to admit it looks like not a whole lot of work went into Warrior.

Of course these are just my humble opinions.

I also think he’s trying to say that the revenant incorporates playstyles and “themes” of already existing classes instead of offering something entirely new.

The revenant is awesome, so he’s got to be on something if he thinks it’s bad. As for the elite specs….some are hit and miss.

I agree, I just bought the xpac on Thursday, prior to this I had seen Rev’s played and figured meh I’ll level one to cap but it’s probably not for me. Then I played this weekend, I love the Rev and could see playing it full time.

Overall with every elite specialization there doesn’t seem to be much thought put into them. Warrior is laughably useless elite. Ele is laughable as well in it’s kitten near uselessness. Necro one is nice, but fails to address any of the many many issues the profession has. Chrono same, it’s a great elite but terrible for soloing and still makes mesmers have the single lowest damage in the game by a wide margin. Guardian was a joke, in name and reality. Daredevil added more strengths to a profession that already held all the cards in the mobility and evasion department.

chronomancer is actually pretty OP

and as stupid as the DH name is, it’s actually quite useful in practice

From a traditional perspective…
The guardian is just a wammo
The engineer is just a necromancer with different themed minions.
So is the mesmer
Mesmer is also just a weak type of thief
Rangers are a weaker type of engineer
…And most of all….
ALL CLASSES ARE PURE DPS-ZERKER META!!

My point is that the above is true and still totally crap. Any class will have elements from other classes in it. Arenanet has always said that they are happy with the amount of classes. There was a big demand for a third heavy armor, and that is what we are getting. I personally find the revenant a refreshing new option. It is actually much more unique compared to what I expected from a new class.

Maybe try to explain what you think is an original class.
